DISCUSSION OF THE DRAFT INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ON FOREIGN JUDICIAL SALES OF SHIPS AND THEIR RECOGNITION: “HIGH LEVEL TECHNICAL COLLOQUIUM ON A DRAFT INTERNATIONAL INSTRUMENT ON FOREIGN JUDICIAL SALES OF SHIPS AND THEIR RECOGNITION”

Objective of the Event: It is the informative specialized meeting to the wishes of UNCITRAL to enable the representatives of different national jurisdictions, shipowners and financiers to join forces and discuss the importance of having a unified international instrument which would introduce a substantial degree of stability and uniformity in such important aspect as a foreign judicial sale of ships.

Time: February, 27, 2018.

Location: Malta Chamber of Commerce, Valletta.

Initiator: Comite Maritime International.

Hosted by: The Government of Malta through the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, the Comite Maritime International and the Malta Maritime Law Association.

The Colloquium will be attended by representatives of UNCITRAL, Governments, financial institutions, shipping companies.
